The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by @abbiwaxman is one of my favorite books I’ve read this year. I loved it so much that I was sad when I finished it. This is a book I will keep on my shelf and read again.
.
I loved Nina Hill, partly because I could identify with her so easily. I wanted her to be real because I wanted to befriend her. I loved the dialogue. It’s witty, funny, and endearing. Nina is living her best life in SoCal. She has a dream job, working in an independent bookstore. She’s got her apartment, her cat, Phil, and great friends. But when she finds out that the father she never knew has passed away, Nina is suddenly part of a large family she didn’t know existed. And they all want to meet her.
.
Nina’s perfectly ordered life changes overnight! 😱 And now she has to meet strangers and navigate a new life. In more ways than one. Because she’s also met a guy named Tom. He is on a rival trivia team. Nina finds herself interested in him and (perish the thought), he isn’t a bookworm! Now what??
.
The Bookish Life of Nina Hill is a super-quick, fun read that will have you laughing out loud. It’s filled with pop culture references and it’s a perfect escape. I’m adding Abbi Waxman to my list of auto-buy authors now. I can’t recommend this one enough!

Happy National Book Lover’s Day to all my Bookish friends out there! Have a wonderful weekend!
